to Five Furious Fish
A West Country based high energy roots dance band, who
play an original carefully crafted mix of Cajun, Reggae,
Celtic & Funk, with a sprinkling of East European
influences just for good measure.
Five Furious Fish have been gigging extensively since
1991, using that time to pursue their 'Irreverent' policy
of fusing roots rhythms with mainstream styles of music.
Not the first band to travel down that road ....true,
but maybe one of the few to mix cajun with roots reggae
and funk so convincingly you begin to wonder why it
hasn't always been played that way!

Furious Fish have appeared all over the country playing
various festivals
and events Including their triumphant set at Fairport
Convention's 2001 Cropredy Festival, Towersey Festival,
Trowbndge Village Pump Festival, Cheltenham Fringe
plus
many other major music events. The Band have received
excellent reviews of their CD Hook Line & Sphincter
In July Folk Roots and music publications/website magazines
all over Europe and USA.
