Five Furious Fish decided to have a year off in 2005 for members to pursue other projects. But the allure of the greasepaint and constant gig enquiries have persuaded us to re-group. With the edition of our new Bass Player Robin Matthews, 2006 is looking rosy. We have written a number of new songs and tunes, gigged them for the first time in early April to an enthusiastic audience and look forward to playing them for you soon.

Excellent reviews of live shows and 'Hook Line & Sphincter' (our current CD), particularly in the World Music 'Bible' 'Folk Roots', have followed The Band throughout the last 18 years of gigging. Five Furious Fish have played Festivals throughout the Country, including... Towersey Festival, Cheltenham Music Festival, Holt Music Festival, Portsmouth Festival of the Sea, West Wilts Festival, Swaledale Folk Festival, Trowbridge Village Pump Festival, The Irish Festival Halifax, Henley Regatta, plus many more too numerous to list.
One of our most memorable gigs had to be Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival. Playing before a crowd of over 16,000 and selling out of our entire stock of CD's in half an hour after the show. The audience gave us a fantastic reception, l still receive emails from Fairport fans asking for our album.(new live CD on the cards soon!)

Hook Line & Sphincter is now played on Radio Stations all over the World including... Alaska, New Mexico, Maine USA, Japan, India and most European Countries.
